A popular game refuge, the Little Moreau Game Production Area is home to a variety of fish and wildlife. Increasing wildlife management in the area serves to enhance local habitat quality and optimize recreational use and stock abundance.

Lake Kempeska
With funding through the Midwest Glacial Lakes Fish Habitat Partnership, lakeshore habitat improvement demonstration projects are underway on Lake Kempeska to educate local landowners and developers. A habitat and access biologist also works to share the concept of lake-friendly shoreline development with property owners.
