Success Story

Scoy Pond and Staudinger’s Pond, East Hampton
Fish passage for alewives had been obstructed into two important fish habitat waterways – Scoy Pond and Staudinger’s Pond – due to undersized and collapsed culverts. To allow passage to Staudinger’s Pond, a weir was installed in Northwest Creek, while a larger culvert is planned for Alewife Brook so alewife can more freely pass into Scoy Pond.
