Register a Boat in Nevada

Your Nevada boat registration is proof that you are the legal owner and operator of your vessel. If you are under a certain age, the state also requires that you have your boating safety education certificate, and not a Nevada boat license. You can get your boating safety education certificate by taking an approved boater safety course online or in a classroom.

NEVADA BOATING LAWS AND REGULATIONS

If you are new to boating, or just want to refresh your knowledge of Nevada boat laws and regulations, sign up for an online boater safety course or state-approved class in your area. As a boat operator, you are responsible for the safety of your passengers and others using the waterways. Know the navigation rules, safety equipment requirements, and boating regulatory zones.

IT’S NOT A FEE, IT’S A CONTRIBUTION

Spend more time on your boat and less time waiting in line by renewing your Nevada boat registration online. Your boat registration dollars help pay for marinas, boat ramps, lake clean-up efforts and much more.
