3 Reasons to Vote for Your Top Fishing Spot

Beautiful scenery, fresh air, and a firm tug on your line -- there's nothing like the thrill of a catch from your top fishing spot. We're not talking GPS coordinates here, but we are talking about a search for the top 100 family-friendly places for fishing or boating in the U.S. and we want you to weigh in.

Since we want to hear about as many places as possible from as many people as possible, we set up this year's "Top Places" promotion in a Spanish-language version as well. So, tell us about your favorite spots to go fishing and boating in the U.S., in English or Spanish, and help us get more people out on the water.

Check out this list of awesome reasons to cast a vote for your top fishing spot.

  1. Vote to win prizes, including a guided fishing adventure at Walt Disney World® Resort. Beginning on February 16th, you can log onto TakeMeFishing.org or VamosAPescar.org to vote for your favorite places, for a chance to win prizes -- including a three-night, four-day stay for four people at the Walt Disney World® Resort, including a Take Me Fishing™ Guided Fishing Excursion. Return daily to vote and you could instantly win one of hundreds of prizes.
  2. You can join in the celebration of the National Parks Service Centennial. If one of your top spots happens to include one of our National Parks, you can join National Parks Service Centennial.
  3. Once you cast your vote online, you can share your fishing photos and videos with the fishing community using the hashtag #FirstCatch. The excitement of fishing and boating can be contagious. When you share your fishing photos and videos, you're inspiring others to get outdoors and discover the joys of fishing.

Now that you have a few awesome reasons to vote for your top fishing and boating spot (in English or Spanish), it's time to take action. Vote now to make sure your top fishing and boating spot makes this year's list.
