When:
2013-02-05 -
2013-06-04
Where:
50 Kendall Road
Jamestown, Kentucky
Details:
Join Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery and Russell County Cooperative Extension Service for the 2012 – 2013 4 – H Fishing Club season! Each meeting will offer a myriad of fish related topics including fishing near the Hatchery’s surrounding waters. We can’t promise you will become an expert fisherman if you become a member of the 4-H Fishing Club, but we can promise that you’ll increase your knowledge and skill by participating in our meetings and outings. You will learn from professional organizations, fishing guides and fellow members. Wolf Creek NFH is committed to increasing opportunities for Kentucky youth to go fishing. Program runs from September - June. Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of each month at the Hatchery from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. CST. Wolf Creek NFH welcomes into membership youth ages 9 – 18 who are interested in fishing, FREE of charge. All members 16 and older must possess a valid KY Fishing License and Trout Stamp. Fishing gear is provided; members are encouraged to bring their own rod and tackle. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Sign up at the next meeting! For more information concerning the 4-H program in Russell County, including the upcoming Fishing Club, please contact 4-H Agent Christy Martin at 270-866-4477 or via email: christy.martin@uky.edu
